About B’twixt & B’tween

It is hard to pin down exactly what you would call B’twixt & B’tween. It can be described as  part blog, part community, part Bible study, part activity guide, part resource section, and yes, even part group therapy for moms of ‘tweenage daughters going through Beautiful Girlhood and The Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood.

B’twixt & B’tween is really a new kind of virtual guide

to exhort and encourage moms.

The somewhat quirky name  of B’twixt & B’tween was chosen because that is exactly where your 9-13 year old girl is. She’s in the middle (betwixt and between)of girlhood and womanhood. It’s a time of transformation for her and also a time of transition for you.

B’twixt & B’tween is 32 weeks of online mentoring for Moms going through Beautiful Girlhood and The Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood. Each chapter offers you  a B’Attitude of the week, Activities, Memory Verse, Questions for Mom to Ponder and Post, and Recommended Resources. My goal for B&B is to give Moms some mentoring and TLC while they take their daughters on the journey through beautiful girlhood.

Perhaps your still not sure…please look here at the first chapter of The Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood.

Blessing,

If we purchase the Companion Guide, to we also need to purchase Beautiful Girlhood. I cannot wait to start this with my 9 year old daughter :).

Hi Kristi, The Companion Guide goes with Beautiful Girlhood. It compliments the book and gives it a “scriptural trellis”. While BG has biblical concepts throughout, there are few if any references to scripture. The big idea behind The Companion Guide is for moms to read a chapter of BG with their daughter and then follow through with the mentoring process by doing the corresponding chapter in The Companion Guide. Make sense? Let me know if I can help you any more.

Shelley

Shelley,
I noticed from a post your husband made that your daughter, Laura, lives in Dallas, Texas. We are a homeschool family with a 13 year old and 11 year old and we live in a suburb of Atlanta but learned recently that my husband’s job is being relocated to Dallas, Texas. Georgia is all our kids have ever known so the move is already a big deal but finding a solid church and an area that is family friendly is paramount to us. If it’s not too much trouble, could you ask your daughter for some good churches to visit, some areas to look for homes in…maybe some good farmers markets, place to get fresh milk and eggs, etc? If you want, you can just forward this message to her and she can email me.

Thanks SO much for your site! My husband and I came and listened to you speak when you were here in Atlanta last year at GHEA. Your message was SO encouraging!

Blessings,
Amber Murray

I will pass on the information to Laura Amber! Hope you have a safe and uneventful move. I love Dallas and try to get down to see my girl every chance I get :)
I have a question for you…what talk to you and your husband come to at GHEA?

Blessings,
Shelley
